[Saba Sports News] Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James missed last Sunday’s game due to a foot injury and has since been away from the team for what head coach JJ Redick described as “personal reasons.”
James was absent again on Friday night as the Lakers fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 97-87. When asked about James’ return timeline, Redick provided no clarity, responding bluntly, “No,” when questioned if he had any updates.
The 39-year-old’s unexplained absence has fueled trade rumors, with one NBA insider suggesting the Golden State Warriors could be a potential destination if James decides to return to action.
Adding to the intrigue, LeBron’s son, Bronny James, selected by the Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, is also away from the main roster, currently playing for the team’s G League affiliate.
The Lakers face the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, but James is not expected to return. Their next game is on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center.
