[Saba Sports News] A22 Sports, the promotional company behind the European Super League, has announced the launch of a new proposal called the “Unify League” on its official website, formally restarting the Super League. The new league will consist of 96 teams divided into four tiers, with the top tier comprising 16 teams, all playing home and away matches. The 96 men’s clubs will be divided into four leagues named Star League, Gold League, Blue League, and United League. The Star League and Gold League each have 16 teams, while the Blue League and United League each have 32 teams. Clubs will play in groups of 8, ensuring each team plays at least 14 matches per season. A22 Sports has sent a 20-page letter to UEFA, applying for official recognition based on a favorable ruling by the European Court of Justice a year ago. The ruling requires UEFA and FIFA to recognize “any ranking competition based on inclusivity, fairness, and respect for the global calendar,” conditions that A22 meets. CEO Bernd Reichart has been in negotiations with dozens of European clubs for several months and states that he has received “positive collective responses.”
