[Saba Sports News] Cadillac Racing will enter F1 in the 2026 season, becoming the 11th team. A hot topic that follows is their driver selection. In interviews, team executives stated that the main lineup will consist of one American driver paired with another non-American driver. Given that Mick Schumacher is the son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, he has become a top candidate for Cadillac Racing. Records show that Mick Schumacher has not secured a formal driver position since leaving Haas F1 in 2022. Last season, he served as a reserve driver for the Mercedes F1 Team. Despite significant efforts to find a new team, Mick Schumacher was unable to secure a main driver position for the 2025 season. Consequently, some fans pessimistically predicted that his F1 career might be over. However, with Cadillac Racing’s entry, the situation has changed significantly. In my opinion, as long as one does not give up, opportunities will always exist. If Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu could learn persistence from Mick Schumacher, he might also achieve unexpected success.
