[Saba Sports News] In the 2025 World Darts Championship, 17-year-old British dart prodigy Luke Littler successfully won the championship, becoming the youngest world darts champion in history. Littler defeated 39-year-old British player Stephen Bunting in the semifinals and 35-year-old Dutch player Michael van Gerwen in the final. Notably, Littler is a Manchester United fan, while his semifinal opponent Bunting is from Liverpool and a Liverpool fan. In the post-match press conference, a reporter asked Littler, “Will you take the trophy to Old Trafford?” Littler replied, “If they allow it, then I definitely will go to Old Trafford, yes.” Additionally, Littler expressed, “I’m very happy to have defeated Stephen Bunting because I’m sure if he had won, he would have taken the trophy to Anfield this weekend.” This weekend, the Premier League’s big match will take place at Anfield, with Liverpool hosting Manchester United.
