[Saba Sports News] The Aston Martin F1 team announced that Andy Cowell will serve as CEO and team principal starting today, to clarify leadership responsibilities and as part of a shift towards a flatter structure. To achieve optimal racing performance, the team’s aerodynamics, engineering, and performance departments have been reformed into independent teams focused on track performance, all reporting directly to Andy. Last season’s team principal Mike Krack will become chief track officer, responsible for leading the track team and continuing to focus on improving the car’s performance on the track. The team at the AMR technology park will be led by new chief technical officer Enrico Cardile, who will devote 100% of his energy to developing new technical innovations for the car. Enrico will oversee the architecture, design, and manufacturing of the new car. Tom McCullough will continue to hold a leadership position within the group, playing a role in expanding the team’s racing operations. During his 11 years with the team, Tom has made significant contributions to track performance, including recent achievements of nine podium finishes for Aston Martin. Regarding the restructuring of the executive team, team principal Andy stated that with the completion of the AMR technology park and the transition to a fully manufacturer team by 2026, their mission is to become a championship-winning team, and the new team is filled with anticipation for the future.
