[Saba Sports News] Currently on vacation, Red Bull F1 driver Max Verstappen recently participated in the Daytona 24 Hours eSports race. As a favorite to win, he unfortunately made a mistake during the race. Due to the simulated rainy conditions in the game, his car suddenly skidded off the track and crashed into a wall. After repairs, Verstappen’s team fell eight laps behind the leader. Although he managed to recover one lap by the end of the race, he finished in fourth place, seven laps down. While this crash affected Verstappen’s performance in the eSports competition, it hasn’t had a long-term impact on his professional career. He has previously demonstrated excellent skill and competitive form in other races. Although the Daytona 24 Hours endurance race itself is not an eSports event, the rapid development of eSports has led to a rise in related online events or simulations, attracting many professional players to participate.
