We will continue to fight together to make this story even more exciting.” The 25-year-old Uruguayan center-back joined Barcelona in 2018 and has since made 155 appearances for the team. This season, Araujo has returned to the pitch after a long injury layoff, appearing five times for Barcelona. In the recent winter transfer window, he was rumored to be linked with Juventus, but ultimately chose to extend his contract with Barcelona, which was originally set to expire in June 2026. On the same day, Araujo’s girlfriend, Abigail, also announced on social media that Araujo had successfully proposed to her. Abigail is also Uruguayan, and the couple already has two daughters.
