[Saba Sports News] F1 veteran Valtteri Bottas’s former personal sponsor, prominent businessman Antti, recently expressed his dissatisfaction with Bottas in a media interview. Antti was upset that after Bottas secured a contract with the Mercedes team, he cut off all communication with him. Antti stated, “When Bottas’s annual personal income exceeded one million euros, we decided to stop sponsoring him, as we felt it was pointless to sponsor someone at that income level. The sponsorship fee wasn’t a problem for me, but what I found hard to understand was that someone who had relied on us throughout his career completely severed ties afterward.” Bottas raced for Mercedes from 2017 to 2021, achieving notable results alongside Lewis Hamilton. He later joined Alfa Romeo but left after the 2024 season. He has chosen to return to Mercedes as a reserve driver.
