[Saba Sports News] Lewis Hamilton officially joined the Ferrari F1 team this year, forming the core driver lineup with Charles Leclerc, and both have contracts for at least two more years. However, Dutch F1 driver Tom Coronel believes Ferrari’s future key target should be Max Verstappen. Coronel stated that if he were Ferrari F1 team boss Fred Vasseur, he would offer Verstappen a blank check. As long as Verstappen is willing to wear the Ferrari race suit, he can fill in any salary amount he wants. Coronel believes that if Ferrari wants to win the world championship again, this is the only option. For Verstappen, winning a championship with Ferrari would cement his place in F1 history. Some fans noted that while Hamilton’s joining Ferrari caused a huge stir, his pairing with Leclerc is not perfect, partly because Hamilton might have already passed his peak. Ferrari fans believe Verstappen is the best choice to lead the team back to the top.
