[Saba Sports News] Last Wednesday, Hamilton made his first track appearance since joining the Ferrari team, driving the SF-23 car around Ferrari’s private Fiorano circuit for 30 laps. Observant Italian media quickly noticed many similarities between this test and Michael Schumacher’s first test with Ferrari. When Schumacher joined the Ferrari team, he also made his debut at the Fiorano circuit, and both debuts attracted large numbers of Italian fans. Remarkably, the weather conditions during both tests were very similar, conducted in dense fog. Moreover, Ferrari did not release the specific results of these tests. However, according to Italian media reports, Hamilton’s lap time was “exactly 1 minute per lap,” and he needed to address “some minor errors,” which was about 4 seconds slower than Schumacher’s record of 55.999 seconds in the F2004 car. Some fans commented that seeing Hamilton test at Fiorano felt like a return to Schumacher’s era.
