A fan on X, going by “@Hi_ImStarrr,” took aim at Durant with an expletive-laced complaint.
“It’s a reason why I never bet on your b— a– @KDTrey5,” the fan wrote (profanity censored).
Durant didn’t let it slide, firing back with a savage response:
“Brokeyyyyy. You’ll be aight, u won’t miss that lil 4 dollars u lost tonight,” he replied.
The fan, clearly not backing down, clapped back by telling Durant to retire.
“So we gotta be broke because you’re inconsistent? Shut yo old a– up clown, just retire already,”* the fan responded.
Durant doubled down, making it clear he wasn’t speaking to a crowd.
“We?? I’m talkin’ to you, nobody else… stop betting!! You aren’t good enough at it,” Durant wrote.
Durant’s Phoenix Suns dominated the Golden State Warriors 130-105 that night, with KD posting 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 three-pointers. But apparently, he didn’t hit the marks this particular bettor needed, leading to the online outburst.
From Durant’s perspective, the frustration is understandable—he played well, his team won comfortably, yet he still had to deal with complaints from an unhappy gambler. Safe to say, he didn’t hold back in his response.
