[Saba Sports News] Former English F1 driver and current BBC F1 commentator David Coulthard recently discussed the topic of former F1 driver Sebastian Vettel, who has been hinting at a comeback. Coulthard expressed disbelief, even stating that Vettel’s return is “wishful thinking.” He believes that Vettel’s speed has declined in the last years of his career, and after taking time off post-retirement, he will only be slower. Coulthard said, “The idea of Vettel making a comeback is unrealistic because he has passed his peak. Although Vettel’s experience is valuable, he has lost some speed, which may affect his performance in high-level competition, making it difficult for a team to hire him again.” I believe that while Vettel has retired, the possibility of a future comeback still exists, and he continues to participate in motorsport-related activities, maintaining a certain level of competitive condition. Whether Vettel will actually return to F1 remains to be seen.
