Newly joined Spanish driver Carlos Sainz drove the car for two laps, and his feedback was encouraging, as he reported that “everything went smoothly.” Consequently, some racing media consider Williams to be the most anticipated team for the new season, showcasing a steady recovery since last season. With Sainz’s addition, the team’s lineup looks more complete, shedding the “backmarker team” image of the past few years and aiming to return to the title contention. Team principal James Vowles stated in an interview that there are over 1,000 detail changes compared to last year’s FW46, making it an evolved version of last year’s car, and the team has had a successful winter. Regarding the outlook for the new season, Vowles expressed confidence in competing for a top-three position, although he is uncertain about the progress of other teams.
