[Saba Sports News] Gunther Steiner has reached a settlement agreement with his former employer, the Haas team, leading to the withdrawal of related lawsuits. Haas F1 LLC stated that all claims against the team have been dismissed. Initially, Steiner filed a lawsuit against Haas F1 LLC in April of last year, claiming the team owed him unpaid wages and accusing them of continuing to use his name and likeness without renewing his contract. According to documents from the Mecklenburg County Superior Court in North Carolina, both parties reached an agreement through mediation that lasted 28 hours and 36 minutes, ultimately settling all disputes. Steiner served as the head of Haas from 2014 to 2024 and played a crucial role in the team’s debut, helping them achieve their best-ever fifth place in the constructors’ standings in 2018. In 2023, however, the Haas team was uncompetitive, finishing last again. The team’s owner’s refusal to invest has gradually turned Haas into an uncompetitive and less attractive team for sponsors. Steiner’s disappointment over the lack of investment led him to choose to leave before the 2024 season began. It is worth noting that Steiner’s high profile has always been a valuable asset for the Haas team, as many sponsors were drawn in because of him, which led to the legal dispute.
