[Saba Sports News] Recently, India’s top male badminton player Lakshya Sen was accused of age fraud. The Karnataka state court has approved an investigation into the allegations. Meanwhile, the police swiftly took action by filing a case and summoning Lakshya Sen’s parents and coach. This incident stems from a report made two years ago. The informant pointed out that Lakshya Sen altered his age in personal background information, changing his birth year from 1998 to 2001, delaying his birth date by three years. In India, altering birth records is illegal. A person named Goveba filed a complaint, accusing his family and former national team coach Vimal Kumar of fraud and age manipulation in Bangalore. The report clearly states that defending Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen and his younger brother Chirag Sen have been competing by falsifying their ages since 2010. Currently, the Information Freedom Act has a copy of the complaint. The complaint mentions that Lakshya Sen’s father is a coach at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, his mother is a staff member at Karnataka Badminton Association, and his coach U Vimal Kumar, who has coached the brothers for over ten years, are all subjects of the investigation.
