[Saba Sports News] Preparations for the F1 Chinese Grand Prix have been thrown into chaos due to shipping delays. Two flights from Australia to Shanghai were delayed by at least eight hours, and as a result, the McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, and Aston Martin teams did not receive their cars and equipment at the Shanghai International Circuit until 4 PM on Wednesday, reducing their preparation time significantly. According to the FIA, tire supplier Pirelli’s shipment also arrived late. Despite the tight schedule, the FIA and teams remain optimistic about preparing the cars on time, as the F1 governing body allows teams to break curfew if necessary to ensure the cars are ready for the Friday practice session. The delay was caused by a mechanical fault on one of the planes at Melbourne Airport. With the sprint race weekend already tight, teams now have only one and a half days to prepare their cars.
