[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, Fiorentina fans lied during a review, resulting in a TIFO displayed during the match that insulted Juventus. In the Serie A match where Fiorentina defeated Juventus 3-0, some Fiorentina fans used TIFO in the stands to insult Juventus, displaying a large TIFO that read “Juventus is shit,” leading to Fiorentina being fined €50,000 and receiving a warning. Reports state that the local government fined 11 Fiorentina fans €166 each for sitting in seats not allocated to them. The biggest issue was the 12th fan, who was fined for organizing a TIFO display that differed from what had been agreed with the safety group (GOS). This meant that Fiorentina fans submitted a design plan to the local government and received approval, but upon taking their places, they changed it to insult Juventus. Had the Fiorentina fans indicated from the start that they intended to insult Juventus, the local government would not have allowed it. Moreover, if the fans had displayed a banner, security personnel could check and confiscate it, but this TIFO was made from small squares of paper, leaving security personnel powerless.
