[Saba Sports News] Aston Villa recently disclosed its 13-month club accounts ending June 30, 2024, showing significant progress in consolidation and improvement. Following an overhaul of sporting leadership in October 2022, the first team’s performance improved dramatically, securing fourth place in the 2023/24 Premier League. European competition returned to Villa Park for the first time in over a decade, with Aston Villa reaching the UEFA Europa Conference League semifinals and qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since the 1982/83 season. This momentum has carried into the current campaign, with the team now in the Champions League quarterfinals, the FA Cup semifinals, and competing for European qualification in the league. This on-field success stems from the continued execution of a long-term strategic plan to sustainably strengthen the squad. Aston Villa’s revenue this fiscal year rose by 27% to £275.7 million, up from £217.7 million the previous year. Much of this growth was driven by their fourth-place Premier League finish and deep runs in European competitions. The club has also made significant strides in sponsorship and commercial revenue, a trend expected to continue into the 2024/25 season.
