[Saba Sports News] Tim Duncan has truly embraced retirement—and he’s letting his hair show it.
The San Antonio Spurs legend was spotted in the stands at Frost Bank Center on Sunday as the Spurs hosted the Golden State Warriors. Sitting alongside his longtime partner Vanessa Macias, Duncan appeared on the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcast during the first quarter—and fans were stunned by his look.
Gone was the clean-cut image from his playing days. In its place? Shoulder-length hair and a laid-back outfit featuring a gray tee and camo sleeves. Social media lit up as fans reacted to the low-key but radically different appearance from the famously reserved Hall of Famer.
Duncan, a five-time NBA champion, 15-time All-Star, and two-time MVP, built a career on consistency, humility, and quiet dominance. He retired from playing in 2016, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020, and had a short stint as an assistant coach under Gregg Popovich—but has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since.
Now approaching 49, Duncan seems to be enjoying retirement on his own terms—whether that means catching Spurs games from the stands or wakeboarding in the Caribbean (as he was seen doing in a viral video not long ago).
One thing’s clear: Timmy’s chill era is in full swing.
