[Saba Sports News] Ligue 1 Marseille player Adrien Rabiot was verbally abused by former Paris Saint-Germain fans during a match against Paris Saint-Germain, with Rabiot being considered a traitor by them. After the incident, Rabiot’s mother, Veronica, was very angry. She believes that personal insults not only hurt the players psychologically but also damage their dignity. Veronica initiated a petition, hoping to strictly enforce the regulations of the French Football Federation and Ligue 1, establish more effective detection and sanctions mechanisms, and when someone is subjected to public or private personal attacks, sports and media organizations should clearly issue statements of support, and also call for the protection of players’ families. Veronica’s petition has currently collected about 230 signatures of support.
