[Saba Sports News] Nico Harrison is catching flak from more than just Dallas Mavericks fans these days.
During Friday night’s matchup between the Mavericks and Clippers in Los Angeles, the Dallas GM became the subject of a hilarious troll from the opposing fanbase. Inside the Clippers’ new home, the Intuit Dome, there’s a section known as “The Wall” — a tightly packed area of uninterrupted rows directly behind the basket, famous for its creative jabs at opponents during free throws.
This time, “The Wall” came through with a gem. A sign popped up comparing Clippers forward Nicolas Batum to Mavericks executive Nico Harrison, reading, “Nico Batum > Nico Harrison.”
The playful dig drew laughs — and proved timely, as the Clippers dominated the game, cruising to a 114–91 win.
While “The Wall” is no stranger to creative heckling, this might have been one of its best burns yet.
Harrison has been under heavy fire from Mavericks fans ever since orchestrating the blockbuster (and highly unpopular) trade that sent Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers back in February.
Many in Dallas — and around the league — still haven’t forgiven him for sending a franchise icon to one of the NBA’s most polarizing teams.
Compared to the backlash he received immediately after the trade, including reported death threats and in-person confrontations, the Batum sign was relatively tame — but still a sharp reminder of just how unpopular Harrison has become across the league.
