In her youth, Shida Chiharu had already shown amazing badminton talent. At the 2012 Japan National Middle School Sports Festival, she won the women’s doubles championship in badminton. At the end of 2018, Shida Chiharu was selected for the Japanese badminton national team B lineup. Since then, she has long partnered with Matsuyama Nami to participate in competitions. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Shida Chiharu and her partner won the bronze medal in women’s doubles badminton.
