[Saba Sports News] This week, Japanese badminton star Shida Chiharu, who is currently in Ningbo, Zhejiang, participating in the 2025 Badminton Asia Championships, posted on social media that she has been harassed by a stalker every time she competes in China for the past year and a half, and called for some extreme fans to immediately stop stalking and similar behaviors. If this situation continues, she will handle it by calling police. At the same time, Shida Chiharu also revealed that she likes China very much and thanks all the fans who support her. She hopes everyone will focus on the court, not her private life. Data shows that Shida Chiharu came into contact with badminton at the age of 6; by the second grade of elementary school, she had become an active player in the national championships. In her youth, Shida Chiharu had already shown amazing badminton talent. At the 2012 Japan National Middle School Sports Festival, she won the women’s doubles championship in badminton. At the end of 2018, Shida Chiharu was selected for the Japanese badminton national team B lineup. Since then, she has long partnered with Matsuyama Nami to participate in competitions. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Shida Chiharu and her partner won the bronze medal in women’s doubles badminton. In the All England Badminton Championships in March this year, the two beat the Japanese combination Fukushima Yuki and Matsumoto Mayu in the final to win the women’s doubles championship. Now, Shida Chiharu and Matsuyama Nami have become the number one women’s doubles combination in Japanese badminton.
