[Saba Sports News] Malik Beasley and Giannis Antetokounmpo may have been teammates once, but there’s clearly no love lost between them now.
During Friday’s matchup between Beasley’s Pistons and Antetokounmpo’s Bucks — a game Milwaukee won 125-119 — tensions flared in the final moments. Giannis blocked Beasley’s three-point attempt, then danced over him with a shimmy as Beasley lay on the court.
When Giannis offered a hand to help him up, Beasley angrily shoved him away. Giannis, unfazed, kept shimmying with a grin.
The beef didn’t end there. On Saturday, Beasley took to X to blast Antetokounmpo’s taunt.
“Let someone stand over you, hit your ish, then try to help me up,” Beasley posted. “In what world would you let that slide in? Idc how goofy he is lol.”
Beasley is known for his own signature shimmy celebration after hitting threes — he’s made over 300 this season, and even inspired a local “Shimmy Meal” from Michigan’s Savvy Sliders. The irony wasn’t lost on anyone.
The two were teammates in Milwaukee just last season before Beasley left for Detroit in free agency. While Giannis has a reputation for playful antics, Beasley clearly didn’t see the humor in this one.
