[Saba Sports News] The Badminton Association of Indonesia recently unveiled the poster for the 2025 Sudirman Cup Mixed Team Championships, which has attracted attention since its release as it appears to be AI-generated, with accusations that the association has “cut corners.” The poster has multiple technical flaws, such as blurred character images, rough detail processing, lack of recognizability in athletes’ facial features, and even abnormalities in the number of fingers and unnatural lighting, which are highly consistent with common defects in AI-generated images. Some reporters have compared the Indonesian poster with a similar one released by the Badminton Association of Malaysia, noting that the Malaysian poster demonstrates a higher level of professionalism in character portrayal, lighting, and overall composition, while the Indonesian poster’s defects are obvious and give an unrealistic impression. The editor believes that if the poster was indeed made by AI, then the Badminton Association of Indonesia may not be paying enough attention to the standards of the design industry and the requirements for event promotion. In sports event promotion, as an important visual representation, posters should follow certain aesthetic and professional standards, rather than simply relying on AI-generated content to complete the task.
