[Saba Sports News] After Lewis Hamilton expressed dissatisfaction with his car following the Bahrain Grand Prix, he again stated his belief that the car is still not optimized and remains far from competitive for championship contention, making it difficult for him to perform well. In response, former Ferrari team engineer of Michael Schumacher, Luca Baldisseri, recently expressed a differing opinion, stating that Hamilton’s complaints about engine braking are just excuses. Baldisseri said: “In Hamilton’s case, I don’t know if he has achieved what is needed, but clearly, he hasn’t. If a driver says in the fourth race that they cannot adapt to the car, you inevitably have to ask yourself—what have they done up until now?” The author believes that Hamilton, with his seven world championships and numerous race wins and pole positions, demonstrates extraordinary talent and ability in racing. While he may differ from Schumacher in some aspects, his achievements and status in F1 history should not be diminished.
