[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from Spanish media, the renovation of the Madrid Grand Prix track will begin in June 2026, when it will be certified by the FIA. The new Madrid Grand Prix track will be 5.47 kilometers long and is a semi-urban street circuit built around the Madrid Convention Center. The design takes urban planning and landscaping into consideration, aiming to integrate well with the surrounding cityscape. During events, the track showcases Madrid’s city image and cultural characteristics, adding a unique charm to the race. It is also noteworthy that the Madrid Grand Prix will become the first zero-impact F1 event. It uses eco-friendly construction materials, installs rainwater collection systems, optimizes energy supply, and employs measures such as using nearby airports to transport materials and constructing photovoltaic power stations at the convention center to ensure environmental sustainability. This demonstrates that hosting an F1 Grand Prix provides cities with an excellent opportunity to showcase their images and strengths. Madrid will attract global media and motorsport enthusiasts’ attention, enhancing its international reputation and influence.
