[Saba Sports News] A statement from Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur shattered Lewis Hamilton’s dream of a comeback – the key upgrades originally scheduled for the Miami Grand Prix have been postponed until the Imola race, meaning the seven-time world champion will have to endure three more weeks of poor driving experiences. After finishing seventh in Saudi Arabia, Hamilton broke down and admitted, “I can’t feel the car under my feet, and this year is destined to be a painful ordeal.” Internal documents show that the SF-25 racing car has fatal dynamic balance issues, even the new floor introduced in Bahrain failed to solve the fundamental problem. This led to a fierce argument between Technical Director Loic Serra and Vasseur because the former insisted on a conservative strategy of “calibrating first then upgrading,” which directly caused the Maranello factory to halt the production of multi-million-euro aerodynamic kits, instead opting for two weeks of simulator testing. What’s more ironic is that when Charles Leclerc won third place in a race by his personal ability, Hamilton’s lap time was 1.3 seconds slower than his teammate. The desperate Hamilton canceled all vacation plans and flew overnight to the Maranello factory to participate in simulator testing with the engineers.
