[Saba Sports News] In the final moments of the first half of Game 4 between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets, Jimmy Butler didn’t hold back during a free-throw break, directing some choice words at Dillon Brooks.
While Tari Eason was at the line, Butler called Brooks “a bum,” “a b***h,” and “weak.” Brooks simply laughed it off, treating the exchange like light-hearted banter.
But after the Warriors’ narrow 109-106 win, which gave them a 3-1 series lead, Butler made it clear in his postgame press conference that there’s nothing playful about his feelings toward Brooks.
At best, Butler acknowledged, Brooks is a player who will do whatever it takes to win—even if that means fully embracing his villain role and trying to irritate opponents at every turn.
But the Warriors have seen this act before and aren’t falling for it. And judging by Butler’s intensity, he meant every word he said during that on-court exchange.
