[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler had some choice words for Dillon Brooks during Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets at Chase Center on Monday night.
While being guarded by Brooks in the second quarter, Butler was caught on TNT’s broadcast exchanging trash talk as Tari Eason prepared to shoot free throws.
With cameras zoomed in, Butler clearly mouthed, “You a bum and a b-tch.”
An official nearby briefly checked to see if the comment was directed at him, but Butler confirmed it was meant for Brooks.
The Rockets forward laughed off the insult, seemingly pleased to have gotten a rise out of Butler.
But Butler wasn’t laughing. Just two minutes later, he committed a hard foul on Brooks during a fast-break, sending him to the free throw line—where Brooks missed both attempts.
The series has been tightly contested, and Brooks’ presence has only added to the tension, bringing out even more fire from his opponents.
