[Saba Sports News] F1 World Champion Max Verstappen once again showed his passion for racing. Recently, he disguised himself as “Franz Hermann” and quietly appeared at the Nurburgring circuit, secretly testing Ferrari’s 296 GT3 car. During the NLS series test sessions, this Red Bull driver intentionally placed a pseudonym on the race car’s side window, but the distinctive Dutch flag livery, his personal logo on the helmet, and his name on the race suit still revealed his true identity. It is known that this is not Verstappen’s first foray into the GT racing scene; his own team has long competed in the GT World Challenge, and he personally participates frequently in private tests. This time, his collaboration is with the Emil Frey Racing team—Thierry Vermeulen, the manager’s son of the team, is a driver for the team, and Verstappen hopes to gain deeper insights into the performance of the GT3 cars and track adjustments through this experience. Some fans expressed that this four-time F1 champion’s obsession with racing has long surpassed conventional boundaries. While other drivers choose to take vacations during the off-season, Verstappen always appears at various tracks or simulators.
