[Saba Sports News] Spanish media reports suggest that Real Madrid plans for Jude Bellingham to undergo shoulder surgery after the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to address a long-standing shoulder issue. The report states that Bellingham’s recovery period is expected to last approximately 12 weeks, meaning he will miss the start of the 2025-26 La Liga season. Bellingham suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the match against Rayo Vallecano but played the entire game. Since then, he has missed four club and national team matches and has been frequently using protective braces. Due to the need for sufficient recovery time amid packed schedules, surgery has not yet been possible. It is unclear whether Bellingham had a history of shoulder injuries prior to injuring himself against Rayo Vallecano, but Royal Madrid staff revealed in 2023 that the club was aware he had shoulder problems during his time at Borussia Dortmund between 2020 and 2023. Historical photos show him wearing shoulder protection during his tenure there. This season, Bellingham has participated in 51 games across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists.
