[Saba Sports News] Jack Doohan issued a statement on social media, calling for internet trolls to stop malicious attacks against him and his family. The incident began when a spoof F1 account fabricated a screenshot showing that Jack Doohan’s father, former MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan, commented on Argentine driver Franco Colapinto’s crash footage with the phrase “very impressive” accompanied by a crying laughing emoji, seemingly mocking the young driver replacing Jack Doohan. Several Argentine media outlets saw the fake image and, without verification, posted it as news. Subsequently, angry Argentine fans immediately went online to attack Jack Doohan and his family. After two days of brewing, Jack Doohan finally couldn’t stand it and posted a clarification post on his Instagram, stating that the content spread by Argentine media was completely false, intentionally forged by some Argentine fans to smear him and his family. Doohan posted the account that published false information, indicating that these fans altered the original content to make it look like his father had sent it, which was completely unfounded.
