[Saba Sports News] Frederic Vasseur, team principal of Ferrari, rarely admitted: before the Monaco Grand Prix, the team was in deep anxiety. This legendary team, which has stood on the podium in Monte Carlo 32 times, is now wracked with worry due to a fatal defect in the SF-25 car during qualifying rounds. Data shows that this season, in 9 qualifying sessions, Ferrari has only once reached the front row, and at the Emiligana Grand Prix, even suffered the humiliation of both cars being eliminated in Q2. Historical data supports Vasseur’s concerns – out of 70 Monaco Grand Prix races, only 10 winners have started from third position or lower. Sources say that Ferrari’s technical team is urgently adjusting the car setup solution in hopes of solving the tire warming and single lap speed problems. The technical team discovered systematic defects in the SF-25’s tire preparation process, particularly that soft tires cannot fully release their potential in a single lap sprint. Thus, the team quickly transported a new front wing component in hopes of improving the car’s steering response on slow corners. However, engineers privately admit that it is nearly impossible to solve this problem that has plagued them throughout the season in just a few days.
