[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Real Madrid has accelerated negotiations with Liverpool to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold earlier so that he can participate in the Club World Cup. Real Madrid is eager to bring in the right-back before Arnold’s contract officially expires on June 30th, but Liverpool remains firm, stating they will only release him early if there is a transfer fee. On Thursday evening, sources from Spain said an official deal might be reached within 24 hours. New manager of Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, hopes that Arnold can join the team for the Club World Cup roster. FIFA has opened a transfer window from June 1st to June 10th specifically for the Club World Cup. Originally, Arnold was scheduled to join the England national team next week to participate in a World Cup qualifier against Andorra on Saturday and a friendly match against Senegal three days later. Real Madrid hopes he can become their player by then. Reports say Real Madrid will pay Arnold his salary for June, and due to tax issues, he may forego part of his salary, with Liverpool receiving additional compensation. This way, Arnold can represent Real Madrid in the Club World Cup.
