[Saba Sports News] Recently, Barcelona hosted a 46.7-kilometer hike lasting over 10 hours. The event started at Camp Nou and Chairman Joan Laporta took part in the first 7 kilometers. The hike concluded in Montserrat, where the Benedictine monastery is celebrating its millennium. The hike began at 8 a.m. in Collbato’s Rambla and was inaugurated by Vice-Chairwoman Elena Fuerth and David Karabene, a member of the 125th Anniversary Committee. Chairman Laporta arrived in Montserrat around 9:30 a.m. and was warmly welcomed by two groups of hikers, posing for photographs with them. Laporta thanked all participants: “It’s incredibly exciting to be here. Everyone involved in this hike is a hero and deserves applause. Barcelona and Montserrat are deeply connected through historical ties. We provide shelter during tough times and support when things go well.”
