[Saba Sports News] The veteran team of Formula One, Ferrari, is facing what seems to be an unprecedented transformation storm. Former F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg revealed on a TV program that Ferrari is considering setting up a base in the UK, breaking its longstanding tradition of being completely rooted in Italy. This revelation quickly drew attention, with speculation rampant that this move by the team is a signal to break free from their prolonged championship drought and rebuild competitiveness. Statistics show that since 2008, the Ferrari team has never won the annual championship. This season, despite recruiting seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, after ten rounds of grands prix, the Ferrari team is now 191 points behind the leading McLaren team. In terms of driver standings, Charles Leclerc is also 94 points behind the leading Oscar Piastri, meaning Ferrari has lost initiative in the championship race. Against this backdrop, Rosberg pointed out that setting up a branch office in the UK aims to integrate into a more efficient F1 operational ecosystem. Rosberg admits Ferrari’s operational efficiency is far behind teams like Mercedes. He recalled his time at Mercedes, where drivers could directly consult with Toto Wolff and quickly make decisions. But at Ferrari, even a champion driver like Hamilton finds it difficult to know whom to turn to for help.
