[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Bernabeu has been receiving repeated complaints about noise disturbance, prompting the Madrid region to plan an increase in decibel limits. Real Madrid and the Bernabeu stadium have faced complaints from nearby residents regarding the noise generated by certain artists performing concerts there. Other artists such as Aitana, Lola Indigo, or Dellafuente have already changed their plans, moving concerts to the neighboring Metropolitano Stadium, causing all expected revenues to flow into Atletico Madrid. However, this situation may change as Isabel Diaz Ayuso, the president of the Madrid regional government, is working on revising the “Law on Public Performances and Entertainment Activities” to strengthen control and legal protection for major events in Madrid. Sources from the environment, agriculture, and interior ministries have confirmed to Efe that authorities are seeking solutions to new problems caused by concerts in the capital, including the recent cancellation of performances. In response, Ayuso has ordered the interior ministry to study the establishment of legal mechanisms to enable these top-level events of regional importance to coexist with residents’ rights to rest. This mechanism will involve raising the permissible decibel levels, but not completely removing restrictions, following the approach of other European cities by focusing on the average noise levels throughout the entire event rather than peak noise when determining violations.
