[Saba Sports News] According to Argentine reports, Alexis Mac Allister’s ex-girlfriend Camila Maya lost her £4.5 million damages claim, with no economic compensation for cohabitation without marriage. The report states that Maya’s request was rejected by the Argentine courts and it was suggested she should take the case to Britain. However, under British law, there is no economic compensation for unmarried cohabitation. Mac Allister broke up with Maya, whom he had been dating for five years, just days after winning the World Cup in 2022, and soon found a new partner after the breakup. Maya claimed that Mac Allister abandoned her due to infidelity, thus filing a lawsuit against the player for compensation. It was reported that based on the monthly living expenses of $250,000 (£185,000) while living together abroad, Maya demanded £4.5 million over two years from the player. After the trial, Mac Allister’s mother said: “This is not something we feel happy or celebrate about. It seems like the most logical approach. In our view, having such a huge financial need without marriage or children seems illogical. She is doing this to tarnish my son’s reputation in Argentine society, and I find her actions very degrading.”
