Kevin Wayne Durant (born September 29, 1988 in Washington, DC) is an American professional basketball player who plays small forward for the Phoenix SUNS in the NBA.
Durant was selected as the second overall pick in the first round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics and was named Rookie of the Year. During the 2009-10 season, Durant became the youngest scoring champion in NBA history at age 21. He was the NBA MVP in 2013-14. In the 2016-17 season, Durant became a free agent to join the Golden State Warriors, won the NBA championship that season, and was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. In the 2017-18 season, the Warriors won the NBA championship and were the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals. He was named an NBA75 star in the 2021-22 season.
He represented the U.S. national team at the 2010 World Championships, 2012 Olympics, 2016 Olympics and 2020 Olympics, winning four gold MEDALS and being the Most Valuable Player at the 2010 World Championships and 2020 Olympics. In his acting career, Durant starred in the 2012 film “The Wrong Guy.”
