[Saba Sports News] Bronny James will get another opportunity to refine his game this summer in Las Vegas.
The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed that James will join their NBA Summer League roster in Vegas, with the team’s first game set for July 10 against the Dallas Mavericks — who just selected top pick Cooper Flagg in this year’s draft.
James appeared in 27 regular-season games for the Lakers this past year, averaging 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 6.7 minutes per game. He also saw extended time with the G League’s South Bay Lakers, where he posted strong numbers: 21.9 points on 44% shooting, along with 5.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
A second-round pick by the Lakers in 2024, James played in six summer league games last year. After a slow start, he found his rhythm, scoring 25 points on 10-of-21 shooting across his final two appearances.
The Lakers are hoping another Summer League stint will further accelerate James’ development.
