[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from Spanish media, as of June 30th, Barcelona has still not met the requirements of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, and they need to submit another report for review by La Liga. It is reported that Barcelona is trying to meet the “1-1 rule” of FFP. Although the club believes that by selling certain players and selling VIP seats, they can achieve financial balance. Due to not meeting the “breakeven” condition, Barcelona faces major restrictions in transfers. To increase wage capacity, the main way right now is to sell players or conduct “leveraged” operations. This makes it difficult for the club to make big moves in the transfer market and limits their ability to sign desired players, hindering team optimization and performance improvement. Even if new players join, they may not be registered and therefore cannot participate in matches. The editor believes that UEFA’s handling of Barcelona’s FFP violations serves as a warning to the entire European football community, reminding other clubs to strictly abide by the rules and avoid reckless spending in pursuit of results, focusing instead on financial health and sustainable development.
