[Saba Sports News] Seven-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has not met expectations since joining Ferrari this season. Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer said Hamilton’s first-half performance was disappointing, pointing out that he hasn’t returned to his best form yet. As a key signing aimed at reviving Ferrari’s performance, Hamilton’s poor performance in the first half of the 2025 season has undoubtedly put pressure on the team. In a podcast, Palmer pointed out that Hamilton should compete evenly with his teammate Charles Leclerc, but in reality, Leclerc has already reached the podium four times, while Hamilton has yet to achieve a top-three finish in any Grand Prix so far. His compatibility with the Ferrari car seems poor. Although Hamilton showed some speed on the Silverstone circuit, Palmer noted that those impressive performances were just rare flashes, and his overall performance remains unsatisfactory. Palmer believes that in terms of driving rhythm and confidence, Hamilton still faces significant adaptation challenges at Ferrari. At Mercedes, he had a more familiar team and engineers, but now in a completely new environment, everything needs to be re-adapted. Regarding whether Hamilton can regain his form in the second half of the season, Palmer said it’s too early to say, but he believes Ferrari could win at least one race this year.
