vacation photos with his girlfriend, Puttita Supajirakul, on social media,
showcasing their adorable height difference. In the pictures, Dechapol, a
26-year-old standing at 1.69 meters tall, is hugged from behind by his
girlfriend, and both of them sport joyful smiles. Dechapol is recognized as one
of Thailand’s top badminton talents, having secured the men’s doubles
championship at the 2014 World Badminton Youth Championship. As he transitioned
to the adult category, Dechapol focused on mixed doubles. His partnership with
Sapsiree Taerattanachai has consistently ranked among the world’s top pairs,
reaching the number one spot for 42 weeks. The Thai team has high hopes of
achieving gold at the upcoming Paris Olympics. Puttita, also a badminton
player, stands at an impressive height of 1.83 meters. She specializes in women’s
doubles, with her mixed doubles teammate, Sapsiree Taerattanachai, as her
partner. The duo secured third place in the women’s doubles at the 2022
Badminton World Championships. However, in late May of this year, Puttita
announced her retirement, and media reports suggested that her decision was
influenced by pregnancy. Some fans playfully remarked that Sapsiree acted as
their matchmaker.
