[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from Korean media, the K-League has released two board games: “Blue Marbles K-League Edition” and “Dobble K-League Edition.” These games use K-League player cards, incorporating the players’ information and ability values on the cards into game decisions and team-building, increasing the connection between the game and the K-League, and enhancing the sense of immersion for players. Additionally, the K-League has become the first professional sports league in South Korea to enter the board game market. As a form of entertainment with a wide audience, board games can spread the culture and elements of the K-League to more people. By integrating team logos and player images into the games, even those unfamiliar with the K-League can gradually become familiar with the league’s content while playing, helping to expand the fan base of the K-League and enhance its visibility and influence both domestically and internationally. The editor believes that board games allow fans to participate in league-related activities in a new way, not just by watching matches, but also by interacting with family and friends, strengthening bonds among fans and increasing their attachment to the league.
