[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz is set to receive a hefty fine from the club for missing a mandatory training session without permission. The fine could range between €40,000 and €120,000. The Brazilian, who joined Juventus last summer from Aston Villa for €50 million, has struggled to make an impact with the Bianconeri. This season, he has made just 27 appearances, totaling 877 minutes, without registering a single goal or assist. Notably, his annual amortized cost (€9.7 million) and total salary (€9.25 million) mean Juventus spends €21,000 per minute and €700,000 per match for his services. Reports indicate that Juventus has contacted the player, and Douglas Luiz has promised to return to Turin next week. However, this unauthorized absence will still cost him dearly. Under Italian football regulations, players who skip training without justification face fines amounting to 5%–15% of their monthly salary—in this case, €40,000 to €120,000.
