[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Premier League teams can choose to not follow the new rule allowing television cameras into changing rooms. Reports say that several new features will be introduced this season to increase broadcasters’ access to the matches. These include half-time interviews with players or coaches, as well as interviews with substitutes during the game. Additionally, cameramen will be allowed into the stadium to capture celebration shots after goals. As part of a new agreement with Sky Sports and TNT Sports, broadcasters have been granted access to the changing rooms. However, Premier League clubs can refuse this part of the agreement. If a team is behind in the score when providing access, they can block cameras from entering the changing room. But if they do so, they must allow cameras in at some point later in the season. Broadcasters must request additional access at least five days before the match and provide detailed plans. Top clubs must respond within three days, indicating which of the three types of access they are willing to provide. According to the latest Premier League handbook, each club must allow broadcasters to use at least one of the new features twice per season, but they can only refuse access to the changing room.
