[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo will not be included in the new Brazilian national team squad for the upcoming September call-up. Brazil will face Chile (on September 5) and Bolivia (on September 10) in the next two World Cup South American qualifiers. However, neither Vinicius nor Rodrygo will participate in these matches. This is not a skill decision or a loss of trust from Brazil’s coach Carlo Ancelotti. Brazil has already qualified for the World Cup, so Ancelotti is preparing to call up more players who play domestically in Brazil and evaluate them during the matches. Especially in the away game against Bolivia on September 10, it is expected that no Brazilian players playing in Europe will be selected, and the team will instead field a lineup composed entirely of domestic players. Rodrygo did not get any playing time in Real Madrid’s first La Liga match of the season, and his situation in the team is uncertain. Although there are still 10 days left in the summer transfer window, Rodrygo’s future remains unclear. However, when Brazil faces its next two international breaks in October and November, the national team will return to a “normal squad,” and Vinicius and Rodrygo will be back to participate in the friendly matches ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
