[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, sponsor Nike is unhappy that Barcelona could not wear their new kits for the first two rounds of La Liga. In the first two matches of the season, Barcelona won 3-0 away at Mallorca and 3-2 away at Levante. However, in both games, Barcelona could not wear their new season’s kits and had to opt for last season’s green third kit instead. Nike had already released Barcelona’s three new kits for the season, but not being able to use them for two consecutive rounds has caused dissatisfaction. Nevertheless, Nike understands that this is not Barcelona’s fault. The home kit colors of their first two opponents, Mallorca and Levante, were similar to Barcelona’s kits. Therefore, Barcelona’s home kit (blaugrana) and third kit (orange) were unusable. Although the color of the new away shirt was distinctly different, its shorts (black) clashed with the opponents’ kit, making it also unusable. In this situation, Barcelona could only wear an old kit from last season. Despite all three of Barcelona’s new kits selling well, the team has yet to debut them in an official match.
