[Saba Sports News] After days of intense competition at the 2025 Hong Kong Badminton Open, the semifinalists for all five disciplines have been determined. On the penultimate day of the main draw, Han Yue faced off against Taiwanese star Lin Hsiang-Ti for a spot in the final. Born in 1998, Lin is a year older than Han and currently ranked 24th in the world, trailing significantly behind Han, who is ranked 3rd. This gap is reflected in their head-to-head record: Han leads 2-1 in their three previous encounters, most recently at this season’s Indonesia Open, where Han swept Lin 2-0 in just 30 minutes, giving her a psychological edge. However, in this match, Han put herself under pressure with constant errors, pushing Lin into an aggressive offensive mode. Fortunately, Han did not give up and ultimately fought back to win 2-1 after three grueling games. With this comeback victory, Han advanced to the women’s singles final of the Hong Kong Open, moving one step closer to defending her title.
