[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United has identified and penalized the individual responsible for assaulting fan Frank Ilett at Old Trafford last month, imposing an indefinite ban on the perpetrator. Frank Ilett, a Manchester United fan, gained fame for vowing not to cut his hair “unless Ruben Amorim’s team achieves five consecutive wins.” Manchester United’s last five-game winning streak was in February 2024 under manager Erik ten Hag. The assault occurred during Manchester United’s match against Chelsea when an angry fan grabbed Ilett’s hair in a stadium concourse area before being stopped by other fans. Ilett’s challenge has now lasted 381 days, and with Manchester United securing two consecutive wins, he is one step closer to his goal of cutting his hair. After the match, Manchester United player Diogo Dalot joked when asked about the incident, “We hope to help him get a haircut.” Ilett began the challenge last October and updates his hair status daily on social media. His account has 380,000 followers on Instagram and 253,000 on TikTok, with his follower growth nearly matching the speed of his curly black hair’s growth.
